san francisco's mayor is trying to get the warriors back to the city. >> reporter: oakland's mayor said she sent a letter to mlb commissioner reminding him the city has two viable sites for the a's to have a new ballpark. part of the fight to make sure the team stays here in oakland. instead of playing ball near concrete walls and parking lots city leaders see hotels, shops, even condos. one proposal would transform this area no a sports and entertainment complex. >> a potential convention and entertainment shopping and perhaps even housing, regional place to go. >> reporter: similar to the complex around the staple center in los angeles, a second possible site would be near jack london square. some say they already have plenty of corporate support. >> we generated about a half million dollars of deposits for

luxury suites. >> reporter: the a's aren't shy about wanting to leave. a spokesman said our primary focus is on a new ballpark in san jose. sanious is part of the giant's territory. in order for the a's to leave they would have to recommend the move and vote among team owners. those give many fans reason to hope the team will stay. they say losing the a's would be devastating. >> it's a message that the city isn't worth it, that we are not good enough to keep the teams and that's of course false. >> reporter: leaders say they are confident they can have a new ballpark by 2016 but both projects -- proposals are still in the early stages. six developers just submitted their plans and as for the proposed -- ballpark on jack london square that environmental impact report still needs to be completed.

detained for questioning but there have been no arrests. if it turns out all to be a hoax the teen could face charges. >> federal health officials have announced a deadly break of lysteria is over. the cdc put the death toll at 30 people and the number of confirmed illnesses at 146 people in 28 states. the outbreak started in july and was trace to colorado. the fruit was recalled in september. the cdc waited to declare an end because symptoms can take up to two months to appear. >> the opening of the crab season may be delayed. the state department of fish and game hasn't made a final decision but the season reportedly won't start until january 15th. the delay is due to test of crab showing a poor crab to meat size ratio. >> the air quality management district has declared tomorrow

the team once played in san francisco in the 60s and now the mayor wants them to come back. david stevenson live in the city with the new developments. >> reporter: san francisco wants to bring them across the bay bridge and back to the city with an arena that could be built next door to the giants at&t park. as the warriors warmed up in their oakland gym the president said it may be time to take the team elsewhere after their lease at oracle expires at the end of the 2016 season. >> the expectation is that we will have to have a new playing facility. we are currently playing in the oldest arena in the nba built in 1966. >> reporter: they met wednesday with the mayor of san francisco and the giants about the team's teaming up to build a new arena just south of at&t park. the giants have rights to develop an arena in the area.
